Group Size
Six groups of five children
Set up
Place five hula hoops for each group in a line from one side of the space you are working in to the other, with equal distance between each one
-
The first hula hoop is Station one, the second hula hoop is Station two, the third hula hoop is Station three, the fourth hula hoop is Station four and the fifth is Station five
-
Between the fifth station and the finish line create a slalom course using ten throw down discs
-
Place a ball in each station
-
Ask the children to stand at one end of the space you are working in with each group lining up behind a line of hula hoops
-
Within each line of hula hoops create the following challenges. Station one: One child must sprint to the next station hula hoop and back three times. Station two: One child must add up all the ages in their group and then divide it by two. The whole group must then make the answer using their bodies. Station three: One child must build a tower of ten bean bags. Station four: One child must say one thing that they like about each member of their group. Station five: One child must be blindfolded and be navigated by the rest of the group to the finish line through a slalom course of throw down discs
